Project 365 - W12

Week 12. This week I am watching the boys (Reece and Jace) while Daniel and Kathryn are out of town on a cruise, celebrating their anniversary.

One thing that Missouri is good for is changing weather conditions and beautiful cloud formations. Thus this picture. I should have taken a picture of poor Jace's foot.

Daniel and Kathryn (and Rick and Janet) have gone on a cruise to celebrate their anniversary and I had the privilege of watching the boys (as well as Georgie and Cami). The Silveys kept Reece and Jace over the weekend, since I was in KC, and I picked them up on Sunday evening. Poor Jace had an owie in his foot that was infected, so much that it caused him pain when walking on it. Nice and full of puss. And so tender you couldn't even touch it. Which means something because Jace is not wimpy about pain (unlike Reece). He has a really high pain tolerance. So if he says it hurts, it hurts.

He was really good at walking on his tiptoes. Like it was just normal walking. I'm impressed.

I was able to get him an appointment at his doctor's. Not his normal doctor, but an intern. She thought it was a planter's wart and froze the thing. Jace was very brave and did not cry. She also prescribed an antibiotic. Got that filled, as well as bought some pain killers and allergy medication (for Jace's swollen lip).

Time at the Smiths. A sleeping Dudley. Didn't do much of anything today except go to BT. Which was HOT. I hate having BT when it is 100*+ outside. But the decision makers don't have a problem with the heat/humidity. And even though hardly anyone is at the park because it is so stinking hot, we're there...

Project 365 - W11

Week 11.

061410

Jace was finally old enough for a big boy bed, so Daniel and Kathryn invested in some bunk beds for the boys. Today was the first day that I had been over to see them. Very cool and solid. Getting the bunk beds means the boys sharing a room, so Kathryn is thinking of turning the other room into a play/book room. Reece now has the top bunk and Jace is on the bottom.

Yes, this is a snapshot of a TV commercial, but it's a commercial that I really like. All the animals are playing together so nicely. It's one of the commercials that I have saved on my 'Commercials' tape, along with the the Folgers 'Peter' commercial and the "Rock Me Gently" Jeep Liberty commercial.

A shot of my sock. I'm not sure why I took this picture, but I kinda of like feet.

Project 365 - W10

Week Ten. My birthday was on Wednesday. I do not look my age :)

060710

This is me with a migraine. I hate them and I feel like the top of my head is going to explode. And it won't go away, regardless of the medicine I take or the cold packs I use.

Okay, so I love iced tea. It's my favorite thing to drink - iced tea with lemon and sugar. Of course, this picture was made after the ice has melted, but the tea was still cold. And, of course, there has to be a straw. McDonald's straws (pictured)are the best, because they're sturdy. They really work well for stirring the sugar in and not bend with the ice. The cup pictured is from one of my favorite restaurants that has since gone out of business - Smokehouse BBQ. I think I ate there about 3-4 times a month, getting a ham sandwich. And their burnt ends! Yum. And the bottle cap? IBC Cream Soda. I also like the root beer, but I think I'm partial to the cream soda because of its lighter taste.

Project 365 - W09

Week Nine. Out of School.

It's the Duds, snuggled on a couple of pillows.

060110

This is Duds wearing his diaper. Yes, a diaper. I bought it because Dudley has been having potty issues lately. When I first adopted Dudley, he had potty issues and drank a lot of water. Lately, he's been doing the same thing. Most likely, because like the first time, he's got a bladder infection. So - the diaper and a prescription. I took this picture for Erica to show her the diaper.

Those boys are so cute! Here they are, waiting for a treat.
